    Equipment principle

The oil-water separator is a specialized device for collecting waste oils and fats discharged through kitchen drainage. Sewage enters the solid-liquid separation chamber via the inlet of the oil-water separator. Larger solid impurities in the sewage are intercepted by the screen mesh and then lifted to the collection bin by the screw conveyor. A sedimentation hopper is set at the bottom of the solid-liquid separation area. Sewage free of solids and impurities flows out of the outlet of the solid-liquid separation zone into the oil-water separation chamber. Inside the oil-water separation chamber, due to the different densities of oil and water, the oil floats on top of the separation zone. The still water at the bottom of the oil-water separation chamber is discharged into the temporary sewage storage tank through the outlet pipe. An oil discharge port is set above the oil-water separation chamber, and oil is periodically discharged based on its quantity. The oil-separated sewage then enters the temporary sewage storage tank and is pumped into the municipal sewer network.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the primary function of the oil-water separator?

The oil-water separator is a specialized device designed for collecting waste oils and fats discharged through kitchen drainage systems, preventing them from clogging the pipes.

How are larger solid impurities filtered and processed?

Larger solid impurities in the sewage are intercepted by a screen mesh in the solid-liquid separation chamber and then lifted to the collection bin by a screw conveyor.

What happens to the sewage after the solids are removed?

Once the sewage is free of solids and impurities, it flows out of the outlet of the solid-liquid separation zone and enters the oil-water separation chamber for further treatment.

How does the oil separation process work inside the chamber?

Due to the different densities of oil and water, the lighter oil floats to the top of the separation zone, while the heavier still water remains at the bottom of the chamber.

How is the separated oil and water discharged from the system?

Oil is periodically discharged from an oil discharge port set above the chamber based on its quantity. The remaining clean water is discharged from the bottom into a temporary sewage storage tank and then pumped into the municipal sewer network.
